WINTERGLURIA
Concept
Wat is de Wintergluria? Wintergluria is het gezelligste festival van 't Stad, het beste winterfestival van het land ,het meest democratische festival van de wereld en nog zoveel meer. Maar Wintergluria is vooral een initiatief van de scouts9&10 die al 8 jaar lang het bovenstaande probeert waar te maken.
Wintergluria heeft een neus voor talent. Op het podium komt het beste van wat de Antwerpse scene op dit moment te bieden heeft: van de jonge, hongerige honden tot al meer gevestigde namen. We kiezen voor bands die garant staan voor een feestje en het publiek aan het dansen en springen brengen.
Wintergluria is een uniek concept met zijn variatie aan jenevers, democratische prijzen, vuurkorven, zeteltjes en plezant volk. Kortom: de ideale manier om uw opkomende winterdepressie te verdrijven. Eenmaal gebeten door de Gluriamicrobe, zal u elke zomer terug verlangen naar de winter.
Komt, danst, drinkt en warmt uwzelve aan het vuur van de Wintergluria.

El Pollo Loco
Een groepje dat vorig jaar ontstaan is uit allemaal enthousiaste muziekanten van de scouts zelf. Ze hadden de eer om de 7de wintergluria op gang te mogen blazen met swingende muziek en zullen ook dit jaar hetzelfde doen. De bezetting is lichtjes veranderd maar de sfeer blijft onveranderd.
Funky riffen, groovy beats, zwoele stemmen en vooral een aanstekelijke drang om te dansen zijn de grootste troeven van El Pollo Loco. Kom dus allemaal al om 14u30 naar de Wintergluria om dit optreden niet te missen. De bands die volgen zijn bovendien ook zeker niet van de minste en staan garant voor klasse en ambiance.

About
I started playing the Violin at the age of 4 and suffered for 11 years being trotted out by my doting parents to perform at various family functions. Believe it or not I actually survived this without too many traumatic psychological side-effects. As a form of rebellion to all this psycho-drama and the fact that I found most classical music depressing, I looked for another way to express myself musically. So from age 15 I picked up the guitar and entered a whole new world. The same year I was asked to sing in a band: Wireless. This gave my voice the chance to grow. While singing for Wireless I started to write my own music as well. At age 16, I was a finalist in the largest Belgian art competition for 13-19 year olds in the category Music.
Now Im playing Solo, trying to get as much experience as possible. I started writing again after a long break, but now i am more motivated than ever to get out there and spread my music and create more.
Made in Japan, born in Belgium and having a Kiwi father and Flemish mother opened many doors for me. This heritage has given me an open perspective and as a result I create my own music trend. Creating is a passion.
Three Guys and a Horsehead

They played together for about a year and a half until they had their first gig in a bar called La Dolce Vita, located in Antwerp. After that, Three Guys and a Horsehead started to become well-known among the youngsters of Antwerp.
In the summer of 2010, MC, guitar player and party-machine Samuel Vekeman joined the group. He brought a whole new vibe to the band and helped convert their style to more hiphop-ish funk instead of raw funk.
Fête Royal
About
Een kabbelende Bossa, een swingende Samba, een groovy Funk of een up-tempo Ska, … geen van deze stijlen is vreemd voor het gevarieerde gezelschap Fête Royal. Samengesteld uit mensen uit het Jazz-milieu, de popmuziek of gewoon die-hard muzikofielen, weten ze een afwisselende set te brengen, waarbij één ding vaststaat: feesten zal u! Of Fête Royal er ook nog een koninklijk feest van maakt, zal u zelf moeten beoordelen.
Fête Royal bracht de zomer al naar o.a. De Arenberg schouwburg, Muziekcentrum TRIX, Casa Blanca, Ancienne Belgique, San Luce festival... Deze jongens zijn nog maar een jaar bezig en al stevig aan het knallen! U hoort ongetwijfeld nog van hen.
W. Victor
About
Le nouveau W.Victor est arrivé! En dat hoeft u niet alleen letterlijk te nemen. Met zijn 4de album “Rotto” zet W.Victor een grote stap voorwaarts. Als geen ander is hij er in geslaagd om een bijzondere, unieke “Europese sound” te creëren.
Italofunk, torch songs, jazz, balkan klanken, ontregelde fanfare! Liefhebbers van Beirut en Bregovic komen zeker aan hun trekken.
W. Victor is ook een echte Europese cross-over artiest die zijn invloeden niet noodzakelijk haalt uit de Angelsaksische popcultuur. Hij is één van de zeldzame artiesten die er in slaagt om te rocken en te grooven zonder dat er een gitaar of veel elektronica aan te pas komt. Blazers, piano, contrabas en drums zorgen voor een rijk,feestelijk en melancholisch geluid.
‘Rotto’ is het Italiaanse woord voor ‘kapot’ en dat vat goed de dynamiek en totale overgave samen waarmee W. Victor musiceert: doorgaan tot je er bij neervalt. Wie hem ooit live bezig zag, kan hiervan getuigen! -
